Folks,
Have been puting the suspension through a hard time lately and, although i have about 45mm lift in suspension with some Tough Dog heavy duty springs, I still yearn for a weeee bit more height out of the back.
My existing shackles which were replaced with the new springs are 3-1/4 inches equating to 82.5mm. ( can someone measure there original Rodeo shackles for me to see if mine are smaller as I did not get the originals back).
Now Extended shackles are a no go in NSW but, for what ever reason, the Climax drop shackles are engineerable and hence legal. These are 100mm when locked giving me longer shackles that will not get pinged at rego time.
Anyone been rich enough to use them in a Rodeo and are they worth it?
So... which brings me to my next question.... what actually constitutes and extended shackle adn why is the drop shackle not classed as one if it is longer than standard??
Cheers
Rainsey

The original ones on mine Rainsey were about 90mm C-C of the pins.
Yes the greasable ones Tough dog supply are a few mil shorter as Opposite Lock explained to me that they are "universal" and fit quite a few different utes.
My original ones are now about 120mm which equates to about 25mm more lift .
Dont get any inversion happening even in the comp. when it got a real hard time.
