Does anyone know what the spring rate for the EFS extra HD springs? Also does anyone know what the spring rate is for Ironman B spec springs are? I've asked EFS a while back but haven't had a response for this question. I'd like to know as I had Ironman B-spec springs before and found them to be an ideal rate for the weight but regretably ironman don't do more than 2" lift and so i want to use EFS. But my concern is their XHD may be a tad to harsh.
thanks
harv.

EFS XHD Spring Rates
I gave up on EFS also, IMO if seller will/cannot not tell you the rate in lb they are simply conning you, the rate is all that matters, there is no industry standard for HD, XHD etc.
I have kings 250lb in the front and 2 stage/progressive 240/365lb in the rear on around a 2 inch lift. Couldn't consider going any less than this myself. If you are going higher than 2inch I think 240 is the absolute minimum, from memory Dobinsons told me they had 260s in multiple lift heights, they were my second choice simply because they were priced a little higher.
Lots of so called HD lifts were no higher than 220lb when I finally dredged up the truth, great recipe for ensuring they WILL sag and also wallow on the road, the shocks play a huge roll in how stiff they feel and ride.
cheers fnq

Hi Ian, I used Dobinsons to suit a 3 or 4 inch lift I think, they are still being run in but they they do a great job of bullying the weight of the GQ around on road in town, handles like a roadster
.
That front corner to rear diagonal corner canty-lever and the boatlike ride at speed that I hate in these trucks while cruising and cornering at 80kph+ is gone so they have enough spring control although they are a harsh shock overall at slower speeds. They were cheap! and seem to last so I have heard, will see.
