Hey guys, I'm looking for some opinions. I currently thinking about selling my V8 LPG Disco, for a 300 TDI. Because of the lack of luggage space, in the boot.
However, I walk to work everyday, and my girlfriend and I just bought a little carrolla as a second car. So I find it hard to justify myself to sell the disco just for a diesel one, when I maybe do about 50km/week in the disco (if that).
Fuel wise it cost about $14-15/100km on LPG city driving, and goes down to about $11-12/100km on the highway. So the cost of fuel is about the same for a TDI and V8 on LPG.
Or should I just save my money which I would loose from selling the Disco and buy a roof rack, and make a dual level false floor, or maybe relocate the LPG tank to underneath the rig, to get more boot space. The thing is I don't want to loose my main tank for when I do any touring.

WTB Range Rover Classic air filter box.
Depends what you want to do with it. Weekend basher or tourer. If its just a weekend basher keep it, if you wanna do some serious treks get the diesel. When I finish uni (funnily enough the value of he v8's have plummeted recently so I need a little more cash) I'm gonna trade my disco up to a td5 so I can do some decent travelling, the v8 just doesn't have the range, unless your towing a tanker behind you. Both engines have their positives and negatives but if your only using it as a weekend warrior the maintainance (spelling?) of the v8 will be cheaper.
