1.6 Carby head

Post by LTDHO »

My motor is out and the head is stuffed.

Can I fit a 16v in the place as the old 8v?
Will the inlet and exhaust still bolt up?
LTDHO is my Ford 361rwkw (not for off road)
Suzi Vitara is my new hobby. 30's only and now 30mm higher, awaiting TURBO :D

Will the 16v efi head bolt on? Yes

Will the intake and exhaust manifolds bolt to it? No

Also don't forget the different pistons with the cutouts for the valves.

To do it right you will need to swap the pistons and get a complete head with the efi and computer. If you still want to do that then I have some 16v headers for sale that will solve the exhaust side of things.

I dropped mine off today to get done (stock 1.3 head), I was quoted $220 as long as nothing is stuffed.
