It was good of them to listen to the masses and change it to a two car event.
I can understand not changing the date though, even though it will clash. It has been advertised in magazines ETC as that date and a change of date would appear as a lack of organisation or professionalism. Work on the date issue for next year and for now just be happy that the event is back and well supported! keep up the good work Rudes and Hobzee.

long weekend

Post by Sick Puppy »

I couldn't do it if it wasn't on a long weekend and how could the interstaters do it on a normal weekend? I also agree with keeping the dates and well done guys on the 2 car teams. Have sent entry form off as I heard it's filling up. Aint missing out on this one.

Yeah I'm thinking of entering if all goes to plan. I may not have a partner yet as a few of my mates are either selling their trucks, will not have them ready or don't want to compete.

got no mates

Post by Hobzee »

If you got no mates - we can set you up with some one elses mate. We have a number of singles (and expected this) and we will do some nifty computer matching (Dexter style) to ensure you have a compatable mate for the weekend.

I still may be able to do it... depends on funding issues for rear button and winch. New bar will be ready, just have to buy dave's tyres!

Just to wet your appetite to some of the tracks we may be doing.

Deep Creek(s), Fulton(s), and the ever challenging Abbotts Creek.

If there out there we will find them.

Planning is going well. 4wd Montly will be doing an exclusive feature on this event, 4wdTv will be there and there will be a DVD cut from this event.

We are already half full ,so its all happening.

Entry forms and info on www.navrun.com.au

I am interested in the Piranah Puruit, but I have no second truck. Is there
anyone out there interested in forming a team to do this event. Can you
advertise for me.
I have a 79 series set up for the OBC and have done 5 OBC as well as several
other events, so I am no slouch.

Cheers ashleigh McLochlan

Triple checking the course this weekend and finalising everything.

Over 300 plus km's of the best tracks we can offer you in the area.

Heaps of SS's to entertain the best of them. Had a couple of teams drop out due to truck breakage at the OB challenge, so there is still a few spots to fill.

Get your act together and put your entry form in, if not you miss out until next years.

Tel: 03 9789 6985 www.navrun.com.au for details & entry form

Is it over 400ks of driving? Need to workout how much fuel I need to carry as I only get about 200ks out of a tank when 4x4ing  and directions to the base camp would be good as I`ve never been down that way before

Section A is a little over 150k's. Section B is about the same, but harder driving..

You always start & finish at base camp, so leave your fuel there.

All competitors and spectators will recieve there acceptance email tonight with all the details.
