LJ50 body removal

Post by beaver700 »

Gday,

just wondering if anyone could help me with an LJ50. It was crashed on a farm once upon a time I wanted to know if anyone could give me hints on how to remove the its old dilapidated body. All the seats have been removed....

Thanks

two bolts at the back, two about front of door frame, and three across the front. Also two studs underneath about level with seatbacks.
Undo the rag joint on the steering column.
Remove the fuel filler hose.
Hand brake cable and speedo cable out.
Disconnect the clutch cable.
Disconnect brake lines from the master cylinder.
Disconnect light wires.
That should be about it I think.
Then get a mate (or ya missus) to help lift the body off (or just lift it off youself if it don't really matter what happens to it)
