how many amps can u get out of an 80 series alternator i have a 1hz with dual batts and i run a lot of stuff off them. thanks

Im not too sure about yota gear, but i had my nissan 75amp rewired with a "two in the hand stator or something", also fitted with a smaller machined pully and now Im getting over 110amps- cost $350.

spinning it faster wont make it produce more current but it will increase the current at lower revs. Some alternators won't produce full power until about 15-1800 engine rpm. Some diesel get used around the 1500 mark and hence not not nec' charging fully all the time. smaller pulley solves this.

so even at idel you would get full charge that would be cheap way to fill up the deep cycle :lol:
