Re: Mechanical injection
Are you sure you not thinking about electronic injection. Mechanical injection is ancient, and was pretty hit and miss. There would not be much gain in this, exp compared to the effort to fabricate or adapt a set-up. The early BMW's had a form of mechanical injection, and it was always going out of tune. If you are going injection on your g13b, you cant beat the vit 8v setup, almost bolt on. Mech inj is not worth the effort, and would be a waste of time IMHO. Electronic all the way.ofr57 wrote:hello all

As i said, the gains would be no where worth the effort, esp when the Vit 8v single point injection almost bolts straight on. The lack of electronics means that is will not run as efficiently as a proper electronic setup. And the vit setup is pretty simple as far as electronics go. If setup properly, you shouldnt have trouble with it. There would be more trouble with the Carby than a proper set up electronic injection setup. Are you plannin on setting this mechanical inj up from scratch, or are you going to try to get it off another car and fit it to the zook. Have a look in the bible for threads on inj, or seach.ofr57 wrote:i know it is old tech but it does not require eletronics![]()
meaning less chance of a short and all this other![]()
