Looking for a LWB coiler if I can.
Looking for high top roof, folding windscreen, 5speed.
Did the Maruti that was released in OZ ever come with a 1.3??
What sort of $$$ do I need to allocate for this???
Thought the Maruti ambulance would fit the bill but been told that they not/ wont be imported into OZ.
Need something that I can fold the windscreen down with when driving around and still have to roof mounted.
Any ideas??

When in Portugal it was one of the cars I thought about purchasing. As I recall it was the equivalent of AU$24,000 new at the time (1.5 to 2 years ago) for a brand new Sierra (Suzuki Santana over there) 2-seater ute. I think they only had green and blue but not entirely sure! I am sure however that they had coil springs!
Unfortunately they had a gutless 1.9 Diesel (no, not even a turbo diesel) outputting something like 60 horsepower...
In terms of price for importing, I'm not too sure... Portugal has very high taxes applied to new cars (that on top of their 17% GST... oh ya, and you pay GST on the car price, and car tax too!! Go figure...)! But do remember transportation, plus left-hand-drive conversion, plus 10% GST... hmmmm... I'm just thinking... is it really worth it?
Cheaper to get a local Sierra and convert it no?

my mate has a swb coiler with a half roof(made out of fibreglass)and a full back made out of the same.the half roof sits about an inch and a half higher than the soft top.it should give you enough head room.

How tall are you? I know of a few people over 6 feet that drive around in sierras... (love_mud, grimbo and big steve are all in the 6'1" - 6'4" area i think)
Perhaps you could remove the stock drivers seat and install a seat with a "flatter" backside rest on it? That would help you sit lower relation to the roof.

That most of my 6'1" is in the body not the legs.
I hit my head on the roof of a HZJ75 ute.
I fit in a Drover high top ok. So I am looking for a hightop LWB to get the best of both worlds.
Might have to make one out of glass or get challenger to do it.

I know in Thailand/Indonesia you can get hi top lwb Sierras maybe try and see about importing from o/s. Probably very $$$$$$ but could be done i reckon. They may also have canopies for sale. I have no idea how to find out about how to source etc Maybe try getting in touch with JavaJeep on this board. He's an Aussie living in Jakarta

a tallish guy in the moke club used the pvc roof off an old telephone box on his moke. maybe you should get a soft top, then just get a bulging fibreglass replacement for the roof insert, or have a soft top made to your own needs, christover.
