Cant undo the bolt on a Harmonic balancer on a HZ75.
The main bolt is on Bloody tight. The starter cant crack it , Cant get a bar big enough.
Did a search and it said after 86 they are loctited from the factory
So, How do you undo it. More leverage or add some heat ?
Cheers

Might work, But how can we lock the motor up to stop it spinning. We tried the usual brake, gears etc. But it seemed to be spinning on the clutch .Rascal wrote:I done this once with some FT crossmember bolts,
jack the car up,
place the breaker bar so one end is on the ground,
slowly let the car down,

Thanks for the help guys.
Well, My step dad took it to a 4wd place today and they used a special tool to remove it. He said it was similiar to an impact wrench but different. They reckon the tool is worth about $600 and is used on late model fords which also suffer the same drama.
Anywayz , All is well with the old cruiser
