suzuki swift/barina engine in sierra

Post by gwarness »

G'day all.

I was just at wreckers today picking up a few misc parts. I had a look at the Swifts and Barinas and thought maybe I could put one of these engines in my Sierra. I asked the guy at the office and he says they would sell me a fuel injected swift motor for $450 dollars. What type of engine would this be? I'm pretty sure on the carbie ones I saw printed on the block G13B, or would it be G13BA. Can anyone clarify this for me please? And also would this injected engine go into my Zook? Can anyone help me with my little confuselment? I wish I knew all the answer without hassling you lot, but I don't, so I thank you all for the great help you have already given me.

Cheers

Luke

whats they engine number on the swift engine generally if its g13 or g16 it can be done quite easily (same engine mounts and relatively easy adaption to gearbox.)

a few things would have to be modified to suit the north - south arrangement, from the east-west FWD arrangement i.e. you would have to either get a set of headers off you old zook, or get some extractors made up.

There is a few other things which would also need to be modified i.e. direction of intake piping, but nothing overly hard nor major.
