Pietro,

Your vehicle is the same as the Sidekick/Tracker vehicle sold in the US
during that model year. Purchase the LR100 and specify the Sidekick option

thanks
If you can afford an airlocker and drive you car on the road, don't stuff around, just get the airlocker.

I am a big fan of spools, but I think that EZ lockers etc are a waste of time. the noise, handling "quirks" and poor behaviour on slick muddy surfaces don't justify the hassle over either a spool for an off road car or an airlocker for a road driven car.

Just my 2c worth.

Im happy with my ez-locker, but as Steve says they have their draw backs. Obviously air locker is the way to go if $$ permit. When i asked round, it was 50/50 either er-locker or lock right. They both have the same downfalls. If i was to do mine again, i would prob just weld it or spool it if it wasnt daily driven. I have no realy issue with the way mine handles, but its all personal preference. I had experience with high powered cars with detroits in the rear (falcons etc with nine inch diffs etc) so had a fair idea what to expect. Best bet if you can is to drive each example and see what you rekon. My price factors import duty too, and curency rates change, and my memory is average. I also used diff oil that cost more than $15 too. Have you factored install into it, or are you going to do it yourself. They are easy to install, but you still have to know your way round a diff. If you can afford it, go ARB for sure. A locked rear will tend to slide downhill when off camber in slippery surfaces which can suck and sometimes its better to have the diff unlocked. A locked rear will increase your turning circle. A light car like a sierra/vit will tend to be locked all the time offroad, as there isnt enough weight to force the locker to unlock on low traction surfaces like gravel tracks. This can induce a bit of understeer on turn in, and power oversteer if you are silly. That said mine handles good enough for my useage (IMHO anyway).Like everything its down to personal preference, and the best way to decide is to have a drive of each example, and talk to owners like you are doing.
Hope this helps.
