AND LS26 BOTTOM MOUNT WHICH CONVERTS TO THE LS82 WHICH WILL FIT PERFECTLY
I'm trying to figure this out as I am 99% decided to go with this shock...how are you saying it will fit? It would appear the sleeve will be too small to fit the bolt no? Are you saying remove the sleeve?
Thanks for your help or anyone that can give me an answer. Also, if there's a tried and true Rancho 9000 part# for a front shock that will accomodate around 3" of lift (tbar crank and BJ flip) I'd appreciate that as well.
hi,
having not actually used the ranchos and the original info supplied by bitsamissin i think back then you could get a kit from rancho that allowed you to use the standard pajero bolts and that shock. Weather or not you can still get the adapting kit you would have to ask rancho otherwise a bit of custom work with new bolts might be a fix up.
as far as the front shocks go i ran pedders trak ryder shocks in the front with a 3" lift and bj flip and the shocks were long enough for the job. i don't know the exact specs on lenghts but perhaps a phone call to your local store might get you some more info.
sorry if this didn't help you much but i have been sorta out of the pajero seen for a bit and not all that up to date.

I emailed Rancho and told them the Montero community needs this shock with the LS82 bottom.
At any rate I ordered one to see if I can make it work myself.
Thanks again
BTW Hekta do you remember which part# you went with for the front or did you go with the recommended shock?
P.S. One heck of an event your taking part in there - best of luck to ya
I went with RS99115 in the rear(they are the same length as the 99138 mentioned in the other thread but easier for me to get) and RS99029 in the front. They guys at the shop just changed the bushes over for me before I picked them up. I had to grind the little sleeve inside the bush on the front ones a bit so it would fit properly, other than that it was a straight bolt in.
PS It's my brother doing the 'one heck of an event' I'm just advertising for him .
Great, good stuff. I bought a 99138 and I'll see how it works. BTW this will be replacing OME shocks in the rear. Got a less than satisfactory response from the ARBUSA folks after breaking one a month or so after the warranty expired :

Got mine today and also went the way of the RS99115. Went with RS99223 for the front though. Got some massive travel in the rear now, a bit too much for the 2" raised springs, they fall out on full droop. Will extend the top shock mount to fix that problem. Don't want a spacer or I'll sit like a ramp. Have also mounted the in-cab system on the top of the dash where the gauges go (compass, altimeter and inside/outside temp gauge). Will post a pic in the weekend. What a good shock, a huge difference between soft and hard, LOVE IT!
Overkill, very good. So the 99115 went straight in on the original mounts?
Next question, how does it ride? The ride on factory adjustable KYB shocks is crap putting it politely. Has it made it much more supple and nicer riding??

Had the bottom mount changed from L1 to LS82 (free of charge) then fitted perfectly. I've taken off my swaybars, so when the shocks are turned to hard you could swear I still had the swaybars on. When on the softest setting it's like not having shocks at all. Quite a big difference. Can't wait to set up the pump side of it to do all that from in the cab. They are expensive to purchase first off but at present and until I go off-road, they seem like a good idea!
