Not much gossip. Big Red rolled onto his roof and could not get his truck started for a few hours. Few breakages as normal. Awsome tracks.

oh yeah, mogrover was put on its side saturday night after heaps of rain on the logs. Sunday morning was fairly normal, nothing too disaturous. But as usual Fester is coping it from everyone, but in typical fashion is giving as good as he gets!!

the mogs reign of terror at Superior All Terrain has ended...

Was a tuff track today for the finals for us in Outlaw with Craig throwing in some good lines over the little rock garden which led to the demise of a few of the competitors with both the Mog and Not Not getting stuck in a hole the size of the grand canyon and ending their stage (the Mog after destroying his front axle and front driveshaft), the homeless and Rolfe were digging trenches in the wombat holes and Yuri and I both completed the track but unfortunately for Yuri he managed to wrap the bunting around his tyre and incur a penalty while i managed to get through (just) with no penalties...

big thanks to Craig and everyone involved for putting the event on, Ryano and the guys from Fourbys for all your assistance with the new rims, tyres and internal beadlocks, Sam Overton for allowing me the drive of the buggy (this thing is soooo much fun)and Tony (Ruff) for all your help with everything as well

Final results for the Outlaw class were

1st... Me in the moon buggy  :D
2nd....Yuri in the Yurimobile
3rd....Case in the Homeless
4th....Rolfe in the Old POS mobile Hilux
5th....Not Not in the Navara
6th.....Mick in the Mog

Modified was won by Mike Clayton in the red hilux and the boys from Rockhampton in the Yellow Dual cab Hilux sorry guys cant remember your name) took out Supermod with a very clean and tidy drive

We had a good run on track 3, rolled on stage 4 sat arvo but finally got all the oil out and we got to run late sat night ... dnf'd stage 2 and had a good run on track 1.
on sunday we had a great run on track 2 but nearly put it over again up the top and was saved by a rock jamming on top of the slider into the sill, had a good run except for getting hung up for a couple of minutes on track 1.
ended up in 6th place for the finals so only just missed out by a few points.

my camera was in the truck so i didn't get any pics on its roof ...
many thanks to Craig from Superior Alignments for supplying the great rollcage which saved the truck ... you would not believe it has done a 360 degree roll so it will be driven as is through the simpson desert in a couple of weeks.
Front wheel fell off on the way home just to make my weekend

some pics of the damage at http://www.4wdlinks.com.au/gallery/big-red-rollover
and if anyone wants to send me some pics i can add to the gallery please send to bigred44@bigpond.com

hey me old mate,

Its really good to see you survived both your wayward antics, what is it with you and your truck with wheels falling off? Any damage to disc or free wheel hub?

bit of damage but it drove home ok except for major shakes at certain speeds. took about five more stops before the wheel nuts stayed tight.
the beadlocks wheel mounting surface is dead flat [not "coined" like mass produced wheels] so the left side wheel nuts often come loose with temperature change and the right side wheel nuts get tighter.

drove down the road, wheels got hot, left side nuts got loose, wheel fell off and front hub buried itself right into the road

Some vidcaps from someone elses camera are now up at http://www.4wdlinks.com.au/gallery/Supe ... ainRd22006. More to come..

Big thanks to Craig and the team for another great event

We had an absolute blast despite a bunch of little things stopping us in our tracks (such as the power to the fuel pump disconnecting mid-stage :? ).. Looking forward to the next one

its just a pity that the mmf boys were supposed to be third though due to a stuff up with the points and a certain rock buggy making the finals by default though.
good weekend though.

all the competitors in outlaw class though were told about what happened and all agreed with what craig put up as a compensation. The MMF boys were included so no probs there. I think the outcome was the best they could of done and was handled very well. So no real reason to complain.

as not not said well done to Craig for his suggestion of sorting it out as mistakes happen (he is only human after all) and yes we did all agree with what Craig put up....no need for bickering...
