Air tanks

Hey, trying to find some info on setting up an air tank in my lux. Want to be able to use air tools if i get stuck in the bush....And re-seat beads on tyres if i can get enough preasure through it.

Question is: What size tank, and what size compressor would be suited?
I may eventually wanna run air lockers n stuff off it also.

Endless air compressor or york piston. No tank will be satisfactory for airtools if you only have 3 cfm going into it.

York/endless spit out about 9 cfm. This will run tools and seat beads easily with even a smallish tank. They are a bit of a hassle to fit, but once you have had 9 cfm on board it's hard to go back. The only problem is you end up airing up everyone else on the trip in the same time as it takes one guy to air up with his electric compressor.

SOunds like you need an air up .... I have one and its the best.... have used it with a nail gun while camping to make chairs

There are plenty of threads on here on how to set up an OBA system - do a search.

I have a York compressor and two small air tanks in my Landie. A while back I used it to put up a 2mx20m timber fence using a huge nail gun. With the engine just above idle I never once ran out of air.

my set up uses a 15lt tank, with 2 bushranger max airs pumping into it, it will run a rattle gun no worries, the 2 max airs take about 2 minutes to fill the tank from empty to 125psi, i have used a 240 volt condor pressure switch with the compressors running through relay switches, heres a couple of pics, and some pipe and wiring diagrams
