hilux set ups
hay. ok here we go, ive got a 3inch sup lift ive had it for about 11months now and im sick of it, 1 the rear rides very stiff and jumps all over the place and has NO flex, so im looking for ways to get more flex and even a lil more lift out of it, i would also like more front flex to what could i do to get better flex

EV1LUX 90 DC 5inch lift 35 simex, rear locker V6 Auto
also for the extra 20mm of flex unbolt/grind off the leaf bolts/tie downs
it frees the leaves up so they can spread appart whilst flexing...
also some negatives to this but i havn't encountered any of them yet...

Can allow the leaves to splay out as you unload the pack. This might make steering or handling a bit vague. Also can add to spring wrap, as the leaves are no-longer locked in place against each other.

i think its got somethin to do with if the pack spreads it could possibly move out of place...
i have never heard of anythin ever happening
its a theroretical thing i spose. but it was the first mod i did to my rocky and i believe it was superior eng. that did it to my hilux...
but imo the 20mm extra can/does make a difference..

il take some better pics tomoro so u can see what is going on....
the set up i have is the superior eng. removable and adjustable shock mounting tower...
basically there is a steel bar running from one side of the chassis to the other and in the middle is piece of 10mm steel with 8 holes where the shocks can be positioned/adjusted to suit best flex/handling wathave ya...
the bar is then bolted onto a mount that is welded on to the chassis.hence removable.
where the shocks mount to the diff there are welded plates sitting on top of the diff. if u can see in the pic...
the shocks i got are eye to eye..
iv seen it done with numerous shocks so i dont see y urs wouldnt work...
but yeah il take some pics when its light and i can get the camera to work...and then u'l understand what im on about...

Other things to consider
Climax/ Superior Shackles
Rubber bushes
Orbital eye bushes (prob not road legal)
But the road your going down is probably the best and simplest way.
