on my exo the B pillar roll bar coming from the slider has to move out like a bracket ) kind of to get around the panels. it will be braced across where the bend is in the middle.

so the question is; will the bend create too big a weakness in the bar or will it be right? if not ill have to reconsider things a little

Could you do two bends? Sort of like:

if you are game, cut some holes through the panels run a brace between the bends and then your cross brace, it ain't going no where then

You need to state exactly what you are using the EXO for. Is it your primary roll over protection or is it to protect against panel damage. Will this be used from comps or just wheeling? If it is your primary roll over protection then you need to have at least one complete pillar hoop cross braced other wise you are just kidding yourself. If it is just to protect the panels then I wouldn't worry about it if you build it out of the right material. ie. around 38mm or bigger with a 3mm wall. My two cents ;)

it is my complete roll protection, i dont care about panels so i might do it how bubs has demonstrated. it will be done out of 32NB heavy wall which seams to be popular with exos and cages. i know about the single piece over the B pillar and i wasnt keen on having 30 degree bends in the middle due to the bend weakness it creates hence the post... but ill try out some ideas since my first bending effort resulted in disaster i need another length of tube anyway :bad-words:
