Can anyone tell me for sure wether gu and gq tie rod ends are different. I would like to use my heavy duty tie rod on my new gu housing set up but not sure if they are the same . They look very similar but dont want to try it until im sure. cheers

GQ= 22x1.5 pitch thread
GU= 20x1.5 pitch thread
Both tapers of the tierod ends are different.
NOW ABLE TOO SAY WHAT I WANT WITHOUT FEAR OF LOOSING SALES.
The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it.

Bagsy, does your current GQ heavy duty tie rod use the large female cab chassis tie rod ends? If so, these are the strongest of the lot and I would try to use these if possible.
What can be done is to re cut the taper on GU items to suit the GQ taper. I remember Cheezy was doing this in the past.
