Wanted: Car trailer or beaver tail truck, let me know what you got
I'd look into buying from these guys... http://www.rocky-road.com/lockright.html
I did and they ended up HEAPS cheaper. Apparently a superior quality product to local as well.
After sale service etc may not be as good being overseas but who cares?
I got one and put it in the front as I have IFS and it is awesome
If you're going to put a locker in the rear and want to retain good onroad "manners" save up for an airlocker or Detroit Soflocker..
My 2c worth.

90 Turbo Diesel Hilux. F&R air lockers, 4" lift, 30 spline longs, 33"MTZ...
Although it's a subject where OPINIONS are HEAVILY divided, I think you'll find a FRONT locker will make a bigger difference and a more drivable vehicle than one with a rear locker. People have done semi-scientific testing of the difference and IIRC front locker came out on top on balance.

my hilux is welded at the rear and is my every day driver. in going to get a lockright soon for the front. but i think that this is deffinetly the way to go i think that the lock right lockers are graet at least you wont be snapping cvs all the time like wth an air locker. chunkycharcoal front locker works realy well in his truck tho.

You have the possibility to break more CV's as you would with an airlocker because when you apply drive to an auto locker, it locks, and when you break CV's, you are applying power. The only way around this is to use 2WD with the auto locker, you can still be in 4 low with an airlocker disabled.
The 60 has a lockrite in the front, it gives awesome traction, but it also makes steering hard in some situations (usually exiting creeks and such), and I find I've had to reverse out of a few things and get a better line where I can actually steer. I can see how CV's break....
... but I drive accordingly and cautiously.
I read a lot of posts before fitting mine and I saw a fair amount of posts saying "my car drive like crap with it" or "it's really noisy". Now the instructions are pretty firm on your diff bits being in tollerance and when we went to fit mine, my diff was WELL out and needed shimming, so add to the cost a trip to the diff lapper if your diffs had a hard life. You may only be $350-500 short of an airlocker after all this.
I agree with AJ that a) this is subject to many strong opinions that b) the front provides better traction, with a rear one you push the front wheels into things where with the locker in the front you are lifting your vechicle over the obsticle.
I hear the hilux can suffer pinion/crown/axle breakages usually when in reverse usually with a front locker engaged...
... but ultimatly it depends on how you drive it :)
It is a decision you have to make, so no one will be able to tell you the answer, because you will break things if you do not drive accordingly regardless.
