hi,
my dad has a 1994 2.8TD space cab with a noisey rear LSD diff, the wreckers have a 2001 2.8TD complete rear LSD diff. do these share the same ratio diff's??

It'll be 4.555 or 4.777
Look in the owners manual if he has one, it should state what the ratio is.
Failing that, look on the ID plates in the engine bay for the axle code, if the axle code matches the one at the wreckers it should be right but check the pinion flanges on both diffs as well, they should be stamped with the ratio.

thanks for the reply :). today we did it the olf fashioned mark, turn and count. the 2001 one was 4.55 which is what dads one is.

didnt think to look for any markings, i'll have a squiz at the tail shaft flange tomorow when i am at my shed.
