MK Suspension

Post by juan »

Hey guys, Iv got an 84 MK SWB... iv gotten a few quotes to get a 2" suspension lift done. they are about $500 dif between each...
Whats peoples opinion on a cheaper option like Old Man Emu set up?
Are they a good brand and have you herd good or bad things about them?

Thanks,
juan.

Look at spending $1200 plus for the kit in total. I made the mistake of spending $1000 and got a real crap kit. There is a big difference for the extra cash in the way it rides.

iv been quoted around the $2,000 mark for old man emu set up. inc shocks, leaf springs, new bushs, steering dampner and labour... is that expensive for this kind of modification?

yeah larg tyres will have an affect on petty consumption but you dont buy a vehice like this if your worried about fuel $$$. sorry to get off track.
was thinking i will just get the rubber i want and see whats needed to fit it in. many people fitted 3/4 eliptic on the rear of these how much difference did it make and did you pin the top leaf to the chassis while on road?
