Idle probs after rebuild. Please help

Post by Nice_Surf »

I have just rebuilt the motor in my '91' 1.3 Sierra (due to a cracked piston :bad-words: ) and rebuilt the carby as well as it was looking a little it sad :?
My problem I have is that the idle was a little high when it started and was warmed up and when I went for a test run it just died but it went again but was rough and wouldn't idle at all. :?
It done this a bit before the rebuild as well but not as bad.
I'm thinking it might be electrical, maybe the dizzy or coil.
What do you all think :?:
Your help will be greatly apreciatted as I'm now so ticked off as I just wan't to get the Zook back on the road.

I guess timing...got a timing light? Try turning the dizzy when the motor's at running temp and get the revs right if you don't.

Problem solved
It turned out to be dirty fuel for the roughness :bad-words:
And the timing belt caused the idle probs :?
It had the right amount of teeth but it was about 5-10mm too long

Thanks for the replys
