Ehaust manifold gasket

Post by DIDZ »

Exhaust manifold gasket is leaking (diagnosed with tapping noise under acceleration) - Question is : Is it ok to still drive with it leaking like this, Or is it something that should be attended to Pretty quickly?

it will be fine but dont leave it to long because it will pitt the face on the flanges and make it hard to reseal

It wont be a problem but as someone mentioned, leave it for a while and it will start to damage the sealing surfaces. Another problem too is if its also letting any air into the manifold, it can play havoc with youre oxygen sensor if you have one.
