The Jeep’n Weekend @ Binacrombi !!

Post by Wooders »

If Jeep Jamboree 2002 and Jeep Appreciation Day left you wanting more (or worse you missed them) and if Jeep Jamboree 2004 (http://www.mjoc.org.au) is too far in the future, then you need to get your skates on and join the Jeep’n Weekend.

The date is 20 & 21 September 2003 and the location is Binacrombi (about 40 minutes north of Goulburn). This is an informal meeting that has originated from the AusJeepOffroad Forum, however the invite is too any interested Jeepers.

Here are some details taken straight from their web site which can be found at http://www.binacrombi.com.au/

Binacrombi is approx. 500 acres in size situated in a valley with 9km frontage to the Abercrombie River.

There are hundreds fire trails and bush tracks for hours of walking and discovering Australian wildlife such as wombats, kangaroos, wallabies, possums - you may even spot the platypus in the river if you're lucky. Night walks are especially fun for the kids.

Relax in picturesque scenes of the Australian bushland or take a refreshing dip and sit on your very own beach on the Abercrombie River. Take a day trip and visit nearby Wombeyan or Abercrombie caves or the Yerranderie silver ghost town.

Later enjoy the recreation room for a game of pool, darts, to catch a game on the TV or just a relaxing read.

Regarding the 4wheeldriving there is a range of trails – but it’s ideally suited to the stocker & the novice – in fact we would love to encourage the ladies (or those shy Jeepers) to give it a go this weekend. This will be no competitions or events, just a casual & relaxing weekend.

So if you are interested in coming along you have two options:
A. Binacrombi directly and lodge your booking. The code is 882. Also let them know you will be using the onsite trails. or
B. Contact Brad (brad.lawson@reedbusiness.com.au/0410-440-988) or Wooders (wooders@optusnet.com.au/0413-138-550) to be included in one of the group bookings (shared cabins).

We are confident that we will be getting a discount from the quoted website prices – however this has not been confirmed yet.

Anyway please take note of the date (20-21 September 2003), pass it along and get your act together.....

Oh yeah the cost - well nothing other than accommodation & the small cost of $16.50/vehicle/day to use to the property itself….
