Hey guys i recently bought my GQ and am now starting to swap some gear over to it from my rangie. The GQ has an ARB commercial winch bar on it. BONUS! Went to drop my highmount into it and it wont fit! Whats the go there? I believed it should have dropped straight in! There is a horizontal support bar that seems to be fouling it!
Anyone had a similar problem or am i missing something simple?
2 winch bars ARB make for GQ
1x commecial winch bar - highmount will fit straight into
1x deluxe winch bar- which will hold low mount winch up to 12,000lbs
deluxe bar has the roller fairlead support on the front commercial doesnt.
Ok cheers guys looks like i have a deluxe bar. Looks like the grinder is coming out! Would love some pics or advice if anyone has modded there bar to suit highmount.
Ive noticed on trucks like Trent leens GQ he has a stronger support bar weleded into the centre. Maybe this is an option!

Trent Leens is a custom bar built by I think ATS4x4 (before it was ATS4x4). Which is a couple of years old now. It started off having tube wings on it. But He was sponsered by ARB for a couple of years so had to make it look like an ARB bar. So they cut the tube off and made some new bits to make it look like it does now. Minus the dings and scratches though.
Oh ok thanks mate. Just gonna go ahead and cut the offending support out and weld a new one in about an inch forward of where it originally was. more of a PITA than anything!
