it has to all be sorted out thts for sure.

im happy to run whatever tyre size is decided on , but the rules have to be made uniform for all events , ccda has to clearly state in the rules the tyre sizes and pressures or even better have a list of approved tyres an approved rim sizes . and then ALL events under run the ccda banner have to stick with this ruling.

but for now we will have 37" for outback , 35.5 for vic winch , 36.5 for Ateco, 35" for cruiserkhana and open for hobzees events

hi guys sandy here

we have been up to the property on the weekend and there will be some good long but drivable stages for friday night . hopefully an early finish.

sat will have 5 day stages and 1 night stage the night one being drivable also and sunday we are going to try to run 3 stages in line

the tyre size has been capped at 908 mm @ 20 psi .

there are a few reasons
we would like to preserve the tracks and the land as we would like to run another event very soon at the same property.preserving the cars so that there is less breakages and more competitors finishing all stages. also bringing the field closer and reducing the importance of hp making it more even across the board .

i understand that this may be an inconvenience to some teams that want to run , but i hope you can respect our decision and understand our reasoning for it .

so if someone turn s up to the vic winch with a trackr 2 (36simex) on and it fit in the gauge their will be able to race with them.????

I think if they going to have a size limit they should go by whats writen on the side of the tyre. not what fit in the gauge...

i have measured several tyre brands and sizes one of them being a 36 x 12.5 x 16 pede on a 8 in rim with a mechanical bead lock and it measured 906mm. depending on you rim size i think they should all fit but anyone is welcome to bring tyres down to measure.or measure them yourselves..to be honest i think bigger tyres will probably disadvantage you anyway

The CCDA need to stand up and make a decision on this tyre problem. The OBC was a joke with competitors have their tyres deflated and jacked up off the ground so the gauge would fit - what happened to race ready. Now the Vic winch has set another tyre size, different than the standard, maybe for all the right reasons but never less there is no consistency in the decision making. If the Vic winch needs to be stepped down a level to reduce costs for up and coming drivers and teams then the comp should be ran under the trophy class or touring class classification, then the whole horse power and tyre size problems are taken care off.

More often than not a tyre not on a rim will be much taller than one fitted to a rim.

I'm soooo confused, is the vic winch challenge a winch challenge, or is it a tuff truck type of event.
There's nothing worse than seeing stages fuct by big tyres midway through an event. if you need proof ask anyone who got to follow lowey into that big bog hole on saturday at the vic winch challenge last year.
I think the event organisers should be respected and thanked for their time and effort in setting up an event. i imagine it takes more than a weekend or two to get an event up and running.
So many people have so many negative views, if your not happy, pressure your club into creating its own event, then you can make your own rules. Its not like Victoria is overrun with events.

THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN THIS YEAR - 1 x Zero car only at start of day - all can watch and then all go in your groups. No "internal zero car competition will be happening at all" I think everyone was dissapointed in last years issues with ezero cars destroying the course prior to groups

Mine went last week, just got to wait untill next month to find out who gets in.

Things for me to do is fit laminated front housing, new front shocks, new swampers (done 2), new leads, new bushes, maybe a new clutch and get my new exhaust done.
