I don't suspose anyone would know the part number for the circlip that goes on the cv before the free wheeling hub on a GU 2.8 patrol? Nissan are telling me theres about 6 different circlip sizes.

Yes there are 6 types 1.1mm to 2.1mm. you should measure the end play on the shaft and order to suit. But if you are like me just go for somewhere in the middle 1.5mm 39253-01j02.

The desk jockeys at nissan literally know absolutely nothing, alot of them barely know how to look things up using the computer - a retarded drooling psycotic monkey with no arms could in most cases do a better job.

The idea of you not being able to just use those bushes is ridiculous, it is a scam on their part. It is due to the nissan shimmy that develops, in a lot of cases it is worn front panhard bushes that is the cause of the problem. A quick and "profitable" fix for them is to sell you a complete front panhard rod with new bushes...

Just walk in order and pay for 2x small hole and 2x large hole, rip your panhards off and press these in. Obviously taking note where the large/small wholes need to go..

Edit: might vent some more parts anger. Sort of like when I went to repco to buy a spare wheel cover for my old mans pajero. The guy wanted/needed the VIN chassis number to supply me with a f#$king wheel cover. like wtf !!! Spastics

from another thread

I have 2 part numbers for the same filter. The Nissan genuine part is actually a bosch part with a Nissan sticker over the Bosch Sticker.

Nissan Part Number is 14371-R8025A
Bosch Part Number is 14612501016N1

Getting the Bosch part is about 1/2 the price of the Nissan part.

This is a great thread, so lets keep it goin.

Revn211, I will be contacting you in the future, I am sure. The parts guys in Canada all give me blank stares when I say Nissan Safari / Patrol. However, after doing a lot of cross reference work (if I can get a Nissan number to start with) I have been able to find some parts.

If anybody still has a copy of the parts DVD or CDs and would be willing to make a copy and post it to Canada, I would be happy to do 5 copies for the Safari owners here and re-imburse your costs. Just PM me. Cheers,

John
