I learnt something today.
In the process of removing a bent rear tailshaft.
My t-case is the old style 1.0 litre with no 4wd light.
Only the two front shafts are different to the lighted cases.
The output shaft to the rear (doubling as hand brake drum) is the same as the 1.3 . Both drum types fit on.
This means I can easily upgrade the rear shaft to a 1.3NT type.
Which could be good if can't get a good 1.0 one soon.
Don't know if this means I could fit a wt output or not?
Will probably turn down the handbrake drum, for better clearance underneath. But a flange that bolts on would be easier.
Are all the shafts on a 1.3 NT case the same? IE can I use a front flange on the rear, instead of turning down the drum??

Will do that.joeblow wrote:chris if you need an output flange come see me at the workshop.there are also 2 types of spline cuts and no the fronts don't work on the rear.
But gotta get me tailshaft fixed up first, then will decide what I'm doing.
thanks
Do we know when and why the splines changed?
With my 1.0 to 1.3 conversion, I've used 1/2 of each uni yoke to convert.
If I use a WT (no handbrake) flange can I still do the same?
