Automotive Cables - Sydney SW

Post by Nev62 »

Just a quick note for the guys in Sydney S/W. I snapped my Speedo cable in the FJ62 Auto. Problem was no one makes an aftermarket cable for these, only the manuals which are at least three inches too short (BTW the universal one size fits all cables are universal so long as it is a manual :bad-words: ). Toyota wants $170 for a replacement and forget about the wreckers - rare as hen's teeth.

I had some stuff to do at the Liverpool RTA and on the way out noticed a place called General Auto Cables right across the road. $60 and 5 min later I had a brand new cable that seems even more substantial then the original and the "universal one size fits all" - that doesn't  .

The guy does any sort of cable - automotive, agricultural, industrial, marine... you get the idea. If you are trying to get something a little unusual or one off, drop in and see the dude.
