Internal Beadlocks

Post by Ando_13 »

What are peoples thoughts on running Staun/Secondair Internal Beadlocks on the highway for 1000s kms. Need to do a long road trip and ATM only have 1 set of rims, which are setup with Stauns, wondering if there would be any dramas?

Well, I've had them in for the last 20 000 km, including 2 trips Mel - Bris.

There will be no dramas at all. Keep the Stauns up at around 45 psi and set your tyre pressure to what you want (DO NOT adjust the pressure of the Stauns)

just a quick q

when you set your internal beadlocks to a set pressure, (i don't know say40psi) and you set this pressure when the tyres are at 35psi, if you drop the tyre pressure won't the stauns expand and explode? do you have to deflate both at the same time?

they wont expand and explode
but when u let the tyres down, if you got time, pump the stauns up that little extra after you have deflated them. But remeber to let the air out ;)
