WA rego inspection question

Post by Wanderer »

transferring rego to WA, so off to the vehicle inspection station tomorrow.....

does my spare tyre need to be the same size as the other 4 tires. i've got a stock standard rim & tyre on the rear door as its less weight then the sunrasia rims & coopers A/T 225/75R15.

rego costs $380 (including 3rd party insurance) for 12 months!

I have got a stock and a 225/75 you can borrow if u need to in Perth NOR.

I believe you should be ok with different size but you can always rimg them or check the web site (not very good) if need be.

just take it off. You don't need to have one but theoretically if you have one it has to be road worthy and matching, although you'd be pretty unlucky to get done fr it. better to be safe than sorry I reckon

And after this inspection there is no need to ever take it back... unless you get stickered.

passed inspection no worries, even with offset rims & 4 inch higher than standard suspension!

WA plates look better than the ACT ones!

thanks for you help, everyone.
