Subaru Supercharger on B Motor

Post by WICKED »

I know of a few 3B's getting around running Subaru WRX TurboCharger units. I'm wonder if the SuperCharger is much different to the Turbo conversion.

Has any one put a Subaru Supercharger on a B or 3B motor?
Is it hard to do?
Would the cost out way the serviceablity of it all?
What's involved?

No such animal as a Subaru Supercharger... Subaru has only ever shipped cars running turbo chargers....

somehow i don't think a supercharger of a 660cc motor will work on a 3000+cc motor.

have a look at something like the eatons eg off the 3.8 holden supercharged motor.

Twin Scroll Turbo, not supercharger...

Subaru, to the best of my knowledge, have never released a supercharged engine from factory into Australia...

The 660cc Subaru Pleo was never a model available for general sale in Australia, although I believe Zega's imported a few into Melbourne, at the same time they were importing the Cuppacino's...

Supercharger off a 1G-GZE might be cheaper and would probably be more suited as it is off a 2.0L 6

mebe try a supercharger off a early model supra. thats wat im getting cant remeber wat model tho but their fairly common at the wreckers as they just get pulled off and a new one put on apparantly. but straight out of the car it will fit on 2.4 to 4.2 without changing the pulley etc apprantly
If all else fails, use a bigger hammer

hilux- locked lifted and turboed
