Shocks for D1 with 50mm lift?

Have just put 2”lift in my D1 the shocks that were supplied with the kit are no longer than the old ones, and are at full stretch just sitting on the driveway.
Can someone give me closed, open & travel lengths as it seems they have sent the wrong shocks.

I have seen mention or the use of 80SER shocks in the front with raising of the to mount, is their swap like this for the rear? If so what is it?

I the distances between the bump stop is Front 120mm & Rear 165mm. Moving the mounts is no problem if that is required.

It came from 4wdsystems in South OZ the kit drives all right apart from the shocks being to short. I have a feeling they may have just sent the wrong set with the springs.

Thanks for the link, However the lengths shown are very close to what they have sent (give or take a ½ inch or so) so it don't exlplane how it is topping out.

Looks like ill go for the L/Cruiser front and get something longer for the rear! Don’t know what jet ill have to look in to it?

The issue of rear shocks frustrates me as well - there just doesnt seem to be a simple bolt on answer. Mine also sit at nearly full extension sitting in the driveway and I have standard 110 springs (but a very light rear end). By removing the shocks and jacking the rear cross member with a hi-lift I can nearly get to the top of the hi-lift before a wheel leaves the ground - about 500mm of wheel travel without shocks. So the shocks are a MAJOR inhibitor of downwards travel. Even raising the top mount doesnt make a huge difference on a Defender because it cant be raised very far without hitting the tub.

The person who invents a long extension shock which can compress to a short length is going to make a squillion..............

LRA have Bilsteins with 50mm more travel, but because the closed length is approx 50mm more, you need to raise the top mount.

There are others that need an adaptor from eye to stud mount. This is still a bolt on solution.

I have seen pics of rear upper mounts on defenders that are made to crank around the tub, into the wheel well.
