Re: interior light help
Do you want it to operate when you open the doors or do you just want a light you can turn on and off with a switch?Matt_88 wrote:hey guys,

This is not legal advice.
That's pretty easy then. Basically:
1. Mount the light wherever you want it. Run one of the light wires to the body of the car; you can normally just hook it to one of the screws you are using to mount the light.
2. Mount the switch wherever you want it.
3. Run the other wire from the light to the switch.
4. Run the last bit of wire from the switch to the fuse box or the battery, anywhere that has +12V.
If you run it all the way to the battery, you will need to put a fuse in between. If you just run it to the fuse box, you should be able to pick up some fused power without adding your own fuse. The power for the cig lighter or the dash lights or whatever will be fine, preferably pick something that is not critical if the fuse blows.
