MQ diffs...again

Post by drummy »

been reading this thread-> http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/PHP_Modul ... fs&start=0 ...as i'm looking to buildup a DD sierra with 31's and MQ diffs. seems like a fairly straight forward project, but was wondering if anyone (mock?) could post some pics as they're all gone obviously

mq's are probably overkill. but would allow for bigger tires down the road ;)

also, did redzook or chopzuki ever end up installing the nissan master cylinder into your sierra's? how hard/easy did it end up being? anything get in the way?

has anyone else installed some since this thread was around (april 05)?? would be interested to hear your thoughts too ;)

31" tyres on MQ Diff's :?: Why :?:

You may be better to look at Hilux diffs or even just strengthened CV's for your zook diffs.

MQ diffs with 31's would have VERY poor diff clearance.

if it is just for daily driving just stick with the standard diffs. As Jim said you'll turn it into a bulldozer with 31s and MQ diffs

I would be interested in seeing some build up pictures of the MQ/Mk conversion as well.

If someone could post them and put into the bible it would be helpful

I ran MQ booster with the MQ diffs, funnily enough it worked really well.

Have pics of my old zook build up if anyone wants some just shoot me your email address.

Believe a subaru forester also bolts up. You may have to alter the Pin inside booster.

should also say. it'd mainly be a qymkhana car, not a rock crawler. so extra width n strength to cope with a turbo is what i'm chasing

yeah I put a gq master cylinder onto my zook booster too!

it bolts straight on, just need to put a longer push rod to get the right amount of push!

not hard just a 6mm bolt (i think it was 6mm) cut to the right size!

you need to get a 2 bolt gq master cyl, not a 4bolt!

enjoy ashley

Ive got a MQ master in my 1L, but the holes needed to be drilled 5mm inward...

As for the diffs, Your front will need to be extended on the short side or the hangers will need to be outboarded.

Rear you can knotch the housing just enough to be able to run stock leaf position
