clutch

Post by Lawrence »

Bought a pressure plate for my 87 ute. Mechanic says it cannot fit. The fingers are a bit too thin. Sellers says he has sold it to other Patrol owners with no problem. Went to the Nissan reps here. Found out that there are two diiferent codes for the clutch and pressure plate. Anybody have experience with this? Also may be able to get a Daikin to buy. What do you think about this clutch? Will get old clutch to compare it with the Daikin.

Don't know about the 87 model, but the GQ's have different clutches for the different engine variants (not sure what the differences are though).

I have an Exedy (formally daikin) in my GQ and couldn't be happier!

clutch industries do an improved unit over the exeddy safari unit these days.

Cheaper as well.
