where to fit duel batt in vitata......?
either in the back, or on the opposite side of the engine bay.
if you're going to put it in the back, i think you need to get a battery box for it, and you can run the wiring down the left hand chassis rail, or up under in the tranny tunnel if you have a BL.
in the engine bay, you will need to get a battery tray, and fit it onto the left hand guard up near the firewall, just the like how it is on the right hand side. there should be enough room, as both side guards are the same height, and the top of the battery sits up in under the bonnet.
i think having batteries closer together rather than further apart is better.
why are you fitting a second battery? do you have a fridge? or are you just wanting to run all your accessories off the second battery?

i have never been able to use any form of scissor jack on a lifted zook before. unless i have a block of wood, or a brick lying around. but a scissor jack on a brick isnt exactly the most ideal way of lifting a zook.chunkz wrote:im not to sure about vitaras

I squeezed in a 65 Amp Hour second battery in the engine bay just in front of the wiper motor. I had to relocate the radiator expansion tank. Bought a tray for about $20 and welded up a mount for it which also carries the expansion tank. The isolator was a cheap one from SupaCheap. It was all pretty easy to do. Cost about $200 for the parts and wiring and $100 for the battery.
