Rangie into 40 series?
anyone ever thrown a rangie V8, auto, and transfer into a 40 series? how'd it go.
how easy/hard are the T cases to adapt to other gearboxes (say a toyota auto, or c4, or turboXXX)

Re: not after
erm if i wired it it wouldn't... how many comp buggies out there are running rangie sh!t without issue... the gearboxes and t cases are tuffer than 40 series sh!t (well t cases anyway) the v8's are simple... its diffs, axles and wiring that let rangies down.chevJ40 wrote:not after the first trip when it packs in
plus to add i can pick up a running rangie/ disco for a grand or 2, and they have about 3:1 in the T case. to get similar with cruiser stuff, i'd be looking at 3-4 grand + crawler gears
