We use Plasma or (Dynaline) at work, slightly bigger though 44mm doubled over so its basically a 11.5 metre sling attached to our main tow lines. Breaking load of the 44mm is 235 tonnes. Must be seriously strong stuff. I tried buying through our supplier some 11 or 12mm but price was still up around $13.50 to $14.50. So I may know a few people who will be in touch with you.

Is that tested with this particular rope, cauz we noticed with the 2 rolls of supermax that we just bought for other cars that the supermax in 10mm seems larger than the dynamica in 10mm..... just wondering because i have a narrower middle on my drum, and i want to compensate for that as well, and the 40m that i thought i will need will not fill the drum from what you are saying.

This stuff is acurate for size. As giant racing said it looks a bit like dynamica/plasma but is a little corser to look at and touch. It looks a bit more like ski rope if you've seen that. ;)

so what would you suggest for a 3 and a bit tonne troopy, no comp work but pulling up some big hills and steps.

also how would you attatch to a PTO drum that uses a grub screw normally for wire

when do you need formal answers and money as i am still stuck in the UK.

i could however send the money to your account

rope

Post by Bluey »

I spoke to giantracing on friday, he was going to setup an account for this purpose, everyone wants ropes transfers into it. when the rope arrives, your amount is sent to you (probably post express bag for $10-15 ish dollars)

hope this sheds some light for others, giantracing told me he would post up details early this week

I've heard word that by the end of next week we should be good (but still no guarantees). Give it time, it is government stuff beyong giantracing's control (so i am led to believe) that is holding up proceedings.
