gq diesel oil capacity

hey, just wondering how much engine oil a gq diesel patrol holds, when changing filters to?

9.4 from memory, go to valvoline.com.au and all the capacities engine, box, diff etc are there and recomended oils for the lot

You've probably already found your info, but for future searchers:

From Nissan service manual:

TD42:
With Filters: 9.2 L
Without Filter: 8.0 L

If turbo'd and / or with oil cooler then some more again!
when I do mine, I tip in 10 lts and it still needs a small top up the next check :D

yeah mines over 10 litres aswell. turbo with an oil cooler.

I did an oil change + filters on my TD42 a couple of weeks ago and put about 11-12L in to get it up to the mark.

When I first got my GQ, I was surprised at the amount of oil needed. I checked it and it needed just over 10 litres with the filters... the most recent books had reduced the amount of oil needed.
