Disco Lift & Tyres Again!

Post by mud13s »

I know this has been covered but I have searched without any real answers...

I've got a '95 Discovery Tdi and want to put a bit of lift and some new rubber under it.

Ideally I want to go to 33's but don't know what is necessary to make them fit,

How high to go etc, I don't want to start butchering the guards! (well not yet anyway)

Can anyone help? done the same thing etc...

An off the shelf kit would be nice, although I am thinking it's unlikely!

Cheers

The perfect answer to your problem is Maxidrive portals.

How big is your cheque book?

About 30" maybe 30.5" is the biggest you will go with a D1 without cutting guards even with a spring lift. The problem is that the wheel arches are so narrow.
Thanks,

Had a horrible feeling the guards would need cutting, for know I think I'll take the skirt's option and just put the biggest tyres that will fit under the guards.

Don't want to start cutting yet, only had the truck a fortnight!!

Cheers for the replies
