mq-mk idler arm removal - bad or good?

Post by FX2 »

hello. i am little bit confused with this idler arm used on mq/mk. may i have a tie rod coming from pitman arm to drag link? just like it's done on gq or toyota? may i eliminate this idler arm from my steering?
is that bad or it's ok for daily driver? i have mk lwb with stock suspension with 31" tyres. if i get rid of idler arm i'd like to get a different pitman arm. would a pitman arm from gq fit on mk steering box?
thanks.

i after careful study i've done on the weekend - simply starring at idler arm i've realized it's there only to make drag link paralled to tie rod. i'll be ordering a custom hy-steer arm at some local metall factory so i'll have steering simillar to gq.
cheers.
