ARB Locker RD01 into 80 series front...anyone done this?
I have an RD01 lockre that I kept from the Surf and was going to put in the front of the 80 as they are both 8"diffs.
But now I found that the RD01 has a bearing ID size of 45mm (79mm OD) and the 80 has a bearing size of 50mm ID (and 83mm OD).
So I am chasing a bearing with a ID of 45mm and a OD of 83mm (as oposed to the Surf bearing with an OD of 79mm).
Then the next step is the adjuster plate that the actuator bolts to. I have a 45/79 and I need a 50/83 which I am told "should be OK" and ARB can supply.
I just want to know if anyone has had sucess with this adaption.
My RD01 is the one with 3 alley keys on the actuator plate and a steel air line.
Thanks,
Alec

THERES ONLY ONE SUBSTITUTE FOR CUBES AND THATS MORE and if you want more inchs stroke it !!!!!!!!!!!
I'm in the same situation where I have an RD01 that I need to fit up to my carrier that take an 83mm OD bearing... The questing I have is will the seal housing assembly from the RD01 bolt up to an adjuster nut from a current RD132?
If this turns out to be too much of a PITA then the locker will be for sale!

Question to anyone that knows, are all the axel splines the same count then! just about to purchase a RD01 already sleeved to fit with ID50mm and OD83mm bearings and adjuster nut! and wanting to put it into my 105! assuming 80s and 105 front centres are the same which im sure they are then i dont see why it wouldnt fit my 105.. i just want to make sure the axel spines will still be the same! cheers!!
