Marks gears for landcruiser

Post by Den.R »

I am currently fitting a set of Marks reduction gears to my 60 that I got off a mate at a good price and done very low kms, however I have come across a small problem. The gears that he bought were for a transfer that bolts up to an automatic gearbox whereas my transfer bolts up to the manual gearbox. The difference being the transfer input gear (the one on the gearbox output shaft) for the manual gearbox has a seal runner and is around 5-6mm thicker where it goes onto the shaft and the transfer input gear on the automatic does not have the seal runner.

The question I have is does anybody have the gear that suits the transfer for a manual gearbox. The gear I am after has a seal runner as opposed to the automatic which doesn't. Marks wants $300 for a gear. I can get something machined up that will work fine I guess but I would rather have a proper gear if I can get it at a reasonable price so I thought I'd try here first...
