Just wondering if you can put 2 or 3 inch raised springs in a gu wagon without changing the shocks. ( mate gave me some raised springs and cant wait to put them in...)
when i have the cash will be upgrading the shocks!!!!![/b]
Yes but your shocks will either be at full extension or very close and will be a very harsh ride at very least. At worst, the car could become dangerous to drive.
That said, I did it for a month or so. Felt like crap but worked (barely) in the short term.

Thanks RoldIT , How high did you go....
most aftermarket shocks are oe to 50mm raised, you could well be fine
If the above post did not offend you in any way please PM me so I can try harder!!
There is plenty of downward wheel travel, yes it is recommened to change shocks later to access this wheel travel, but like you I got the springs for a deal and couldnt wait to install them.
I lifted the car by the diff, put axles stands under the chassis, removed the wheels and lowered the diff. The diff touched the ground before I could even remove the shocks. After raising the car higher, and removing the shock and stabiliser it still touched the ground but I could get the springs out.
