GQ Dash Instrumentation

Post by broke »

Can anyone please tell me definitely if the dash instrumentation is interchangeable between the earlier model petrol and diesel GQ STs' (the ones with speed & revs main gauges and alt/oil/fuel/temp secondary gauges)

I need to get one for my 4.2 diesel as the odometer has failed and now the speedo also and it increases my options if I am able to source one from either vehicle type.

All information relating to this enquiry is appreciated, cheers

I thought about buying a Hummer
But I figured I just buy a big gold chain
And hang it around my Patrol instead
That way I still have a real 4x4
And still get people to "Look at Me"

you should be able to pull the speedo part out of the new cluster and put in yours. i would imagine the tachos would be different cause the petrols take the signal from the coil where the diesls usually take it from the alternator.
