Tyre Deflators
Got my hands on a brand new ARB 'ez-deflator' today, the build is great, although i havent got a compressor handy, so haven't tried it out yet....its supposed to allow you to drop a lot of pressure in 2/3 of f$%*& all time!!!!
I'll keep you posted with performance - anyone else seen/got one yet...
Have a look here......

About 60 clams (rrp $57 or something), maybe a little cheaper than the staun ones, and i wont lose this one!!! Plus, nice and quick!! Im tipping about 20secs all told on each corner (including fitting it and releasing air). Hopfully give it a test run tonight!

i think it will still be a hard choice when i buy deflators, as the stauns are set and forget, where as you have to actually keep checking the pressure when using this device, but it does alow for any pressure you want each time you use it, and its quicker, as opposed to having only 1 set pressure...... (i understand you could set all 4 stauns to different pressures, and only use the 1 you want on the day, but it takes the speed out of it)

Yeah I have 2 sets of stauns, 1 set at 12psi for mud/rocks and 1 set at 20psi for beach work. The fact that you can just screw them on and go do something else while they're deflating is great. Sitting there and constantly checking you've dropped to the right pressure on each tyre would suck. Time is not everything and I'm lazy.
how many different pressures do you use? on the zook its an easy, 30psi onroad, 12psi offroad general purpose, and down to 8psi if im really struggling in a particular spot.marin wrote:i think it will still be a hard choice when i buy deflators, as the stauns are set and forget, where as you have to actually keep checking the pressure when using this device, but it does alow for any pressure you want each time you use it, and its quicker, as opposed to having only 1 set pressure...... I have the Currie one, got it from Wooders. It does unscrew the valve core and then retains it and lets you monitor the pressure as you deflate the tyres. It's very quick and lets you go to any pressure you want. I normally change pressure dependant on terrain. Fire trails etc I'll drop it a bit for comfort more than anything, then there's rock, then sand, etc etc.dogbreath_48 wrote:So does it unscrew the valve core? Otherwise i can't see it being that quick...
edit: beat me to it emo. I just screw out the valve cores manually. Quickest way ever.

Confirmed - Yup, unscrews the valve core and pppssshhhhhoooot!!!Quick as a flash!!!! from 30 - 10 psi in about 8 seconds....on my first go!!!! Very nice to use!!!...... now wheres that compressor???!!!
