Winch Challenges are raily good for spectators, if you want to watch more then one stage you have to walk 20ks to do so. Then walk another 10k back to your car. Its alot easier to get 3 stages next to one another then it is 5 or 6. I remember 05 Vic winch had spectators on the saturday (my wife was one) and if you wanted to follow 1 rig around all stages then you needed a car to drive around them all. It would take longer to walk between stages then it did to wait in the line up at the start gates (as a compeditor you`d know this can be hours).

I don`t remember the saturday stages of vic winch 04 (At Neerim North) being spread out over that big an area, if fact I thought most of the day`s stages were fairly close to each other. SS4 if my memory serves me correctly was the furthest away from the other stages. They were a fair way, away from camp and a long way off the road and had no where even close for spectator parking.
Sunday at the neerim north place will be great as I`ll guess they will use the same gully again. You can allmost sit in the ONE!!!!!!! spot all day and see all 3 stages without moving. Remember I said allmost. At most you`d have to move 100mts.

Hey guts - spot on mate.

Saturdays stages are just too tight, with narrow access tracks and too many vehicles moving fo rus to allow spectators. Just too dangerous for an extra 400 people to be floating around!

Sundays stages will involve the gully, will be great to view and will be a 100m walk at max if you want to follow your fav' crew!

Winch challenges are setup for the drivers, and we are lucky enough to have a property that favours the spectators in a big way!

Come one come all (car pool) and se ewhat we mean!!!

'04 was an excellent days spectating so this year will be better!
