Just Got a SWB BJ70 - First Mods
Can anyone provide some ideas on what first mods to do to a Landcruiser SWB BJ70 leaf sprung.
Lift: ?
Shocks: ?
Tyres: ?
Size: ?
Maybe Turbo: ???
Any known problems with these that may need fixing asap, but it is apretty clean unit...

I third that if its ya first 4x4 drive it and find out what sort of driving you like and what sort of budget you have at your disposal, but first learn how to drive it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you peolpe remember 80GGD from 4wd monthly issue 89, Silver GU Series 4????
Well if you do that was mine!!!
So, yes i can drive, it just that i hate seeing a stock car just sitting there!!!
Oh and i sold my GU to buy a Porsche Cayenne Turbo, so the money thing sure aint a problem.
So some advise on Toyota shit would be appreciated, i already have started with a snorkel, turbo, lift, tyres, full service...
All i want to know if what turbo or kit should be fitted and how???
What size lift you suggest ???
What size tyres do you suggest???
Oh and i don't care weather its leagal or not!!!

Dont waiste your money on a turbo....rip out the motor and put a 1hdft from a 80 series in it, with the hzj75 series bellhousing or complete box, a bundy chassis, or part thereof (coily) 80 series diffs....and boy you would be unstoppable....
For a short while in 1990, the 70 series came out with a 1hz optional...so it isnt a problem with engineering....
