ZD30 Conversion to gas

Post by Richo GU »

Got a series 4 GU ZD30. With the known early problems in series 1 and 2 range would converting to gas create a problem for this motor and will it void my waranty. Have a quote so far of 4300 froma reputable company so with rebate would be 2300.

Cheers

i take it you mean the fumation or part lpg system.

it would be interesting to see how it goes, tho i wouldn't want to pour on the lpg purely for power. what i would like to know is how the systems run with muilti injections. the intiall "pre injection" may set off the lpg before the main fuel load gets injected.

and yeah these system will void any warranties.

mate i doubt it would void your warranty unless it causes a problem , th 3.0 ltr is a proven lemon and i would not want to push it.

mmm.......roll up to Nissan with blown motor, i'll bet they would take one look at ANY aftermarket motor mods and tell ya where to go! especially if you've got lpg/nos/boost controllers etc on it.

thats the curse of having new vehicles, any mods is an excuse for the manufacture to get out of any warranty claims.
